if you want to go, book it now, if you go on a trip in early January it’s the cheapest time of year, summer will be the most expensive.
it’s based on demand- higher demand for a vacation in the summer= higher prices. the first week of January is the cheapest time in the year for flights, so I’d assume that it’s the same for most methods of vacationing. i wouldn’t wait for a ‘Last minute" deal- often times you have to pay extra fees just because your booking last minute.
