What can tour operators do to overcome budget airlines?

This is part of an assignment and im struggling on this bit, please help :)

Offer destinations low cost airlines cant offer, ie go Long Haul. All UK tour operators make there money from selling packages now to places like Egypt, the USA and the Caribbean.
