What is the Best Tour Agency for Machu Picchu?

What is the Best Tour Agency for Machu Picchu? and if you can please include a link to their website, thanks!

I already have the plane ticket and hotel, so I just need to find a 1-2 day tour for Machu Picchu.

Hi, you will have no trouble finding an agency even when you arrive to Cusco. I know that many people do that, what we did was book everything through our Hostel..the prices are pretty much all the same and I have absolutely no complaints.
You can write writing at: cusco_tourdesk@lokihostel.com
They can arrange everything for you including accommodation.

Where can a person get cheap vacations to mexico from Calgary Alberta canada?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in cheap vacations | 5 Comments »

I want to go to mexico but don’t want to spend alot of money. What is a good website to find cheap flights. We want to leave in January. So please help me

Go to "SellOffVacations" You can check out the dates and the prices. It will also show you pictures of the hotel and tell you how many "stars" they are rated. I wouldn’t take less than a 4* or it might be a bit of a dump.

Are there any affordable tour operators that accept young children on their trips?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in tour operators | 3 Comments »

I’ve looked at every family travel website possible and only ONE takes kids aged 4 (and the tour was a 6 day trip in Peru for an insane $4000+ each.) Most operators only accept children ages 5 and up.

I would really just like a family-oriented, AFFORDABLE!, trip for my 4 year old daughter and I to go on – trip, not a sit around resort. Anywhere in Europe or Latin america, preferrably France or Costa Rica!

Thanks for any help!

I know a good online tour agency named Tours4fun.com, but i’m not sure whether they accpet such a little children just aged at 4. So i adviced you log in their website and inquiry.

What are some good all-inclusive Mexican resorts for 18 year olds not during spring break ?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in resorts | 3 Comments »

My friends and I are trying to plan our senior trip to Mexico in June for a reasonable cost.
What would be some good ALL-INCLUSIVE resorts for a group of 18 year old girls ?
We’re looking for fun bars and such at the hotel, not really to leave the resort for the local clubs.

Well, it depends on where in Mexico you want to go. If you’re planning Cancun-Mayan Riviera there are plenty of good all-inclusive resorts for people your age. Some of the best I know are:

In Cancun:
Riu
JW Marriott
Aqua

In Riviera Maya:
Fairmont Mayacoba
Mayan Palace
Blue Bay

Personally I liked Blue Bay a lot. Lots of young people, nice bars, good atmosphere.

My recommendation is: check for those resorts that are adult-only (very few actually). The rest should be good options.

If you are planning to go to Los Cabos or somewhere else (Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Acapulco) check on the www.tripadvisor.com, they have some good information about all-inclusive resorts.

What are some good vacation rental sites for booking a vacation property?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in vacation | 3 Comments »

My wife and I just retired and are planning a U.S. vacation tour. We are wanting to know the best way to book vacation rentals throughout our journey. We haven’t picked any states to travel to yet, but would like to visit most if not all of them. In the past we have used KeyVacationRentals.com, but just wanted to see what others are out there. We also would like to only book from vacation rental site. Thanks for your suggestions!

I’ve been using Owner Direct Vacation Rentals for several years now, and I’ve always had a great experience both in finding the perfect place(s) to stay, and with their customer service reps… they’re the greatest!

I’d have a look around at Owner Direct Vacation Rentals http://www.ownerdirect.com and just start picking places along your route.

It sounds like a great way to plan a vacation! I’ve actually done that myself, on a smaller level, with just two different places lined up one after the other, and it was just great. It’s so much nicer arriving at a vacation home, than it is arriving at a hotel… so much more relaxing.

Hope this helps!

How do tours and deployments to combat zones work out in the Army?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in tours | 1 Comment »

Do you go every other year to Iraq or Afghanistan?

What if the war ends? Can you then stay at a base in the United States every year?

I’m considering joining through OCS as a 2nd Lt. and was reading that many officers drop out due to repeated tours to combat zones.

It really depends on the unit you get assigned to. Some units don’t do Afghanistan rotations (look for that to change in the very, very near future).

Some units rotate to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Depending on who you end up with, you could hit a long dwell time (back here in the US) or not.

For example, let’s say you got put in the 4th Inf Division. They are currently in Iraq now. When they get back they SHOULD (but may not) get 12 months in the states. Then they are back in the mix again.

Some units, like the 82nd and 101st Airborne, send Brigade size units to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and the intervals and tour lengths vary.

Your likelihood of doing more than one combat tour is HIGH.
We’re at war…

How do you think tourism should be made more environmentally friendly?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in tourism | 6 Comments »

Tourism has increasingly become discussed as a cultural and environmental phenomenon, and more often than not as destructive. What measures do you think should be taken?

Travel locally. Flying is one of the biggest producers of green house gases. And yes, Al Gore that includes you.

PS: Icon MC what oil company do you work for?

How many vacations does japanish people usually have per year?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in vacations | 9 Comments »

I heard they have very few vacations, but don’t know exactly how many days or weeks.
Thank you all for your answers.

Japanish? It`s Japanese people…
N we don`t have that many vacations compared to the States. To answer your question, about 2 weeks of vacation in the whole year. This mainly applies to the working group.
The main holiday is Golden Week and it`s a time when Japanese tend to travel. Golden Week consists of these holidays: Constitution Day, Greenery Day and Children`s Day (May 3,4,5.) N there`s also Obon, which is a Buddhist holiday and is different from regions of Japan. It`s about a week and celebrated either in mid-July or mid-August.
Other vacations:
-New Year`s Day (January 1)
-Coming of Age Day(January 12)
-National Foundation Day (February 11)
-Vernal Equinox (March 20)
-Sho-wa Day (April 29)
-Marine Day (July 20)
-Respect for the Aged Day (Spetember 21)
-Autumnal Equinox (September 22)
-Health and Sports Day (October 12)
-Culture Day (November 3)
-Lobor Thanksgiving Day (November 23)
-Emperor`s Birthday (December 23)

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in tourist | 3 Comments »

I have to a project about England and as primary research I need to ask people who have been to England or lived there about possible tourist attractions and the country’s economy. Any help is greatly appreciated; thanks!!!!

Ok well a few tourist attractions are:
London Tower
Buckingham Palace
Longleat Safari Park
Thorpe Park
Alton Towers
Drayton Manor
Blackpool Tower
London Dungeons
Madame Tussauds
The London Eye
Eden Camp

As for jobs, students generally work in shops or bars/nightclubs
After that, jobs are exactly the same as anywhere else in the world. Everything from Teachers, Nurses, Solicitors, Shop Assistants, Office administrators, hairdressers, Childcare assistants, you name it. The only jobs I can think of that are in England and nowhere else would probably be the Beefeaters and the Queens Guard.

Is there a site other than Travelocity for last minute vacation packages with two different departure cities?

Posted on March 30th, 2010 by admin in vacation packages | 2 Comments »

I have a friend in another city and we like to take spur of the moment vacation packages. Travelocity offers last minute packages that way. However, in recent months they have taken to bait and switch. They post a price per passenger and when you go to book you get messages that the flight is no longer available at that price or the room is no longer available at that price and they post a surcharge to what they advertised.

I use http://www.fybymetravel.co m
